NEW SKI (OR BOARD) PREP

New Ski (or Board) Prep:

  • Base cleaned of storage wax

  • Base true-barred to ensure flatness

  • Soft stone edge finishing

  • Hand applied Fluoro hot wax

 

Our experience is that most new skis or boards benefit from a little love right from the start.

SHARPEN & WAX

SHARPEN & WAX~ $45

  • Grindrite belt grind base and side edges

  • 1 degree base and side edge bevels

  • Grindrite stone ground base finishing

  • (Stone grinding a base removes old, oxidized material, bringing fresh, faster base to the surface. The process also gives the base a suction breaking pattern called “structure”.)

  • Soft Stone edge finishing

  • Hot wax application

 

Surcharge to remove, store and reinstall snowboard bindings: $15

 

This is the minimum level of service necessary to maintain your gear.

STANDARD

STANDARD ~ $60

  • Grindrite belt grind base and side edges

  • 1 degree base and side edge bevels

  • Minor base repair (2 P-Tex candles maximum)

  • Grindrite stone ground base finishing

  • Hand finished and soft stone polished edges

  • Hand applied hot wax

  • (Wax that is ironed into a base penetrates it more deeply, so it lasts longer. Fluoride based waxes repel water better and glide faster than hydrocarbon based ones. They’re at least twice the price as well.)

  • Base brushed for structure and polished

 

Remove, store and reinstall snowboard bindings: $15

 

This returns your gear to “like new” condition and results in better edge hold, superior glide and a healthier base.

EXTRA

Additional P-Tex repair candles: $5 per

P-Tex welding: $15 per

Base Patch: $25 min

Edge and/or Sidewall Repair: $30 min
